HITEC Houston 2018: What to Expect at Booth 2421

The Vivonet team is very excited to attend HITEC 2018 in Houston this year, June 18-21.

We look forward to HITEC every year. What can attendees expect from us?

What we’ll be demonstrating

The Vivonet team will be at booth 2421, where we’ll be giving hands-on demonstrations of:

  • Vivonet Cloud POS
  • Self-Serve Kiosk
  • Dual-Mode Kiosk.

These solutions contribute to a larger vision for creating a superior guest experience characterized by scalability, fluidity between revenue centers, and ease-of-use for guests and staff alike.

How do these solutions help hotel industry leaders meet the challenges in front of them when the show is over? Let’s touch on that.

Vivonet Cloud POS

Vivonet has an established history of providing cloud-based point-of-sale to the hospitality industry. In more recent years, we’ve established fruitful relationships with PMS providers like Opera and Infor to better serve the hotel industry. This is in response to the trend that more and more guests expect during their stays; a seamless digital environment. The POS has to connect hotel restaurants and bars into a larger transactional context, and in the same arena as all other transactions in a location.

The result of this integration is greater freedom of movement for the guest between revenue centers without experiencing any fragmentation in the process. When point-of-sale processes are in a continuum like this, the guest experience becomes more immersive, and less fussy. It’s with these goals in mind that our POS has been built and continues to evolve.

Dual mode kiosk

In an industry that’s changing fast, having the flexibility needed to adapt and to better manage costs while doing so is paramount to success. Our dual mode kiosk is uniquely flexible, serving as a fully functional POS terminal and easily converting to a guest-operated kiosk during times when staffing levels are lower (see the video!).

Given recent high-profile stories about the value and cost of labor in the hospitality industry, this kind of flexibility is becoming increasingly important. This was at the root of our thinking when we conceived and developed dual mode kiosks. With the options that dual mode presents, finding equilibrium between serving guests and managing cost-effective labor schedules becomes much easier.

Hotels can manage a range of scenarios using dual mode; a busy restaurant where an extra POS terminal comes in handy, or a kiosk that guests can use to process their own orders when order volumes are lower and there are fewer staff on hand. Dual mode allows for greater operational agility on every point on the spectrum.

Self-serve kiosk

The hotel pantry has been the subject of scrutiny in recent times. When guests come back to the hotel late at night or in the wee hours of the morning, the likelihood of a staff member being present to help with a hotel pantry purchase is reduced to say the least. Some hotel chains have turned to the “honor system” to compensate. But for some guests, this is disorienting. And for hotels, losses of goods, revenue, and valuable customer data can really add up.

Our self-serve kiosk for hotels is in answer to that specific issue. It’s designed to be intuitive, efficient, and downright empowering to guests. With a self-serve kiosk, they no longer have to hunt down a staff person to help them or be burdened by a manual process that often results in lost items, lost revenue, and lost data for the hotel brand.

At HITEC this year, we want attendees to test this out for themselves. At booth 2421, we’ll have a working hotel pantry powered by our self-serve kiosk, complete with real items attendees can take away for free.

Meet with Vivonet at HITEC Houston 2018

As mentioned, we’d like attendees to test out our solutions for themselves. We’ll meet with them at booth 2421 to provide one-on-one demonstrations of how our point-of-sale, self-serve and dual mode kiosks can enhance the guest experience and streamline operations across multiple locations.

We’re looking forward to demonstrating how these cloud-based solutions and others can help hotel industry leaders create better guest experiences and more informed strategies to produce greater revenues and lower costs as the industry shifts into the future.

We’d like to help you reserve your personal demo. You can do that right here.

LET'S MEET
