The role will require the successful candidate to:

• Write and execute test plans, test scripts
• Setup and maintain test equipment / servers, workstations and network
• Prepare test data
• Work as a project team lead
• Report project status to project team members
• Provide test and defect status to project team members
• Manage test scripts and corollary work products
• Mentor junior members, providing technical advice and direction.

Education and Experience:

• Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of extensive software testing and quality assurance experience
• 1+ years experience in a Web Development environment
• 1+ years experience troubleshooting Windows networks
• Familiar with all aspects of the software development life cycle
• Familiar with change control processes
• Experience in building corporate quality assurance plans
• Experience in testing end-to-end distributed systems.
• Experience in testing and exploiting security flaws.
• Experience in building testing frameworks using automated testing tools including AutomatedQA’s Test Complete
• Experienced in IEEE730 IEEE829, IEEE1008 and ISO 9126 standards.
• QA experience with Web 2.0 applications (scalability, performance, multi-tenancy, 24/7)
• Experience in working with QA virtual environments
• Experience in working and building software development companies including policies and strong I.T. foundations.
• Experience with technologies supporting issue tracking, requirements tracking, specifications tracking, time management
• Expert in MS Windows 2000/XP environments and web-based applications

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Six-Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) or better certification
• Work experience in environments where an agile methodology has been implemented
• Exposure to COBIT and/or ITIL methodologies
• Industry experience in testing large, scale enterprise products
• Proven track record in growing highly technical testing teams
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Experience with Service Level Agreements
• Experience establishing or upgrading a QA infrastructure
• Integration with documentation process
• Experience in working with computer hardware assembly
• Industry experience in Oracle and SQL Server
• Software development experience considered an asset

Vivonet has more than 2,500 restaurant and retail customers across Canada and the United States and has grown at more than 200% annually each of the last 3 years. As such, successful candidates will need to be able to raise the performance bar on an already successful team.

Knowledge of the point-of-sale and restaurant marketplace an asset but not a requirement.
