Vivonet Appoints Tom Kakanowski as Chief Technology Officer
   
 

Vancouver, B.C., Canada - January 25, 2008

Vivonet announced today the appointment of Tom Kakanowski as Vivonet's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), reporting to the President and CEO, Ryan Volberg.For over nineteen years Tom has committed himself to the discipline of developing great software, technology and products.  His sophisticated knowledge in all project phases in systems integration, internationalization, database and business intelligence, real-time, and enterprise systems bring both strong management and technical acumen to the Vivonet team.

Tom will provide leadership for the architecture, development and innovation of Vivonet’s many software systems and services.  His areas of expertise include: analysis, design, development, quality assurance, usability, performance, scalability, security, fault-tolerance within mission-critical environments, best practices for enterprise-level software and hosted systems. Tom holds an MBA and MSc degree, as well as MCSE, MCDBA and PMP certification.  He was also a finalist for the 1998 Canadian IT Excellence award.
